Betzy Yvonn Whay – Babysitter
Betzy Yvonn Whay (Betz) is our Babysitter. She writes, “I come from a small northern town in Saskatchewan named Thatcher. I’m a recovering alcoholic and have been sober for 11 months. I realized I needed to clean up when a strange man got me pregnant; my son Torvald is 2 months on November 4th. Alcohol finally could no longer comfort me, so I found singing lullabies to myself did the job. Some people started to question my sanity; thought I was crazy! The doctors called it a late onset of ‘post traumatic stress.’ Apparently I had a rough childhood. It’s hard for me to believe them since I don’t really remember anything but sometimes I dream…
It’s my 4th birthday and daddy’s angry again. He and Mommy are fighting so he set the house on fire. Those flames were so hot! Mommy held me in her arms as she and my brother, Mark, tried to find a way out but we were trapped. The ceiling caves in over Mark and Mommy just cries, holding me, rocking back and forth, singing lullabies to comfort me…
Then I awake. I’m drenched in sweat from the flames and I can hear Mommy’s voice echoing the lullabies. The voices in my head sing so I sing. I work at a day care center and sing. Most the kids lost their parents like me so I take care of them as best I can. They’re all too young to really know their parents are dead, well, all but one; Chloe. Her mother planned to leave her for only a few hours as she stopped by the Butcher Shop but she never returned. She’s my responsibility now but I get her to help with the children…they don’t always respond to my lullabies…
On candy-stripe legs the spiderman comes
Slowly through the shadows of the evening sun
Sneaking past the windows of the blissfully dead
Looking for his victim shivering in bed…
Chloe – Lost somewhere in the Asylum
Chloe was only 3 years old when her mother, Rose White, left her at the babysitter, Betzy, and never came back. Chloe never knew what happened to her mother and is trying to find her every day and every night. Betzy says that she now owns her and that she is her new mommy, however, Chloe is 100% that her mother is still out there and will find her one day.
Bula – The Butcher
Bula our Butcher and her boyfriend were strolling thru sKreamers on a dark eerie and moonless night. Her jittery companion became so unnerved by the spine chilling atmosphere that he left Bula stranded in the butcher shop. Since that faithful night, Bula loathes men. She takes her revenge by luring her prey to her blood soaked slab. She then dismembers her victims by cleaving and hacking them before dangling them to cure on the meat hooks. The meat is then carted off to the mad scientist lab. Beware when you come see bloodbath Bula at the Butcher Shop.
Pádraig Ó Dónaill
September 4, 1857 while working with a railway construction organization a freight train, carrying passengers from Eastern Saskatchewan slipped off its tracks and rolled to where Pádraig Ó Dónaill (now “Patrick”) and 40 other workers were. The accident killed 13 workers and injured 6 others. Patrick was lucky to escape the careening wreck but was drenched in hazardous chemicals. Patrick and every other survivor from the train were immediately quarantined in the forest by government officials.
Predictably, most died quickly. Except for Patrick’s foraging, the compound was deathly quiet. Suddenly, in the Spring one-by-one the corpses slowly reanimated. On April 29, 1858, the quarantine fences seemed to mysteriously disappear. Patrick had already created a fortress out of scrap material from the train and tracks to keep out the zombies but having been exposed to the toxic waste himself, he had mutated and become almost an unrecognizable undead zombie.
As the year progressed the zombies population seemed to slowly decline, yet witnesses still believe a few thousand are roaming the woods, freezing in Winter and reanimating once Spring comes around. Patrick is still believed to be in his fortress. Many witnesses claim to have friends and loved ones attacked and eaten by him. After the 1890s, the government covered up all news and photographs of the zombie attack.
Out in his Toxic Waste Dump, Patrick still waits…
Etrius – the Floating Head
Etrius, or the floating head, as some call him, is just over 17 years old. Sadly for him, he hasn’t had enough luck to die yet. Betrayed by Bula the Butcher, she cut off his head to allow the Mad Scientist to experiment on him. She then tossed his body out a window, into the night. His head was used to test the theory of keeping a brain alive. The experiment worked, and Etrius lives indefinitly, much to his pain, atop a box in the asylum.
Stop by any night sKreamers is open and see our weird and oddly happy inmates. They’re dying to meat you!
