Play2Win Games Delivered to CHEO
April 4, 2012 No CommentsCameron and his dad Jamie delivered over 70 games to CHEO in a quiet presentation this week which will hopefully also mark Carmon’s last day of successful treatments there as well!
While the Orleans Kiwanis may have been the largest donor to Cameron’s Play2Win effort, there were not the only one.
To ensure everyone knows who donated each item, stickers acknowledging which organization or person made the donation were put on each game item’s shrink wrap and a second set of stickers was given to CHEO staff to be applied once the wrap was removed.
Cameron’s dad, Jamie, also acknowledged all known supporters ( there were some who preferred to remain anonymous ) on the CHEO Kid’s Facebook page where the following article was posted this morning and which is, incidentally, already causing a lot of traffic on the CHEO Kids Facebook site!
General, PhotosA big CHEO Bear thank you to fourteen year old Cameron Jones and his father Jamie who donated over 70 new board games to CHEO kids.
Cameron is battling cancer and spends a lot of time at CHEO. He set out to get good games that kids from young to teens could easily learn and play.
With the help of the Orleans Board Game club, various other local and regional board game clubs and sponsors, as well as the Orleans Kiwanis he collected over 70 new games that will be used in all CHEO playrooms.
Thank You Cameron for making a difference.
